At The Dental Centre we are focused on providing the most comprehensive dental care possible, in a friendly and caring environment. Helping you and your family to maintain the best dental health is our number one goal.

Our team are always happy to accommodate your needs, taking the time to fully discuss your dental situation and goals with you, before we begin any procedures.

If you have missing teeth, dentures from The Dental Centre may be an ideal solution for you.

There are various kinds of different dentures but all are custom-fitted to your jaw shape. Dentures can offer you a natural appearance and restore a perfect smile, as well as helping to overcome speech problems, strengthening the muscles controlling facial expressions and aiding with chewing.

If you’ve lost, or are losing, all of your teeth then we can create a complete denture especially for you. If some healthy teeth remain, a partial denture may be the ideal way of restoring your smile.

If your wisdom teeth do not have enough room to emerge they may cause difficulties as they grow and develop in each corner of your mouth. In such cases, extraction is often the best solution.

Every patient is different and, while some wisdom teeth can be simply removed under local anaesthesia, impacted teeth will often require a minor surgical procedure in hospital. We can determine your personal situation upon examination at The Dental Centre.

As well as being a noisy barrier to a good night’s sleep, loud and excessive snoring can also be a sign of a serious medical condition called obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). OSA is dangerous because it causes your breathing to actually stop, for anywhere from a few seconds to a minute, up to several hundred times per night.

This regular disruption to your breathing can contribute to many serious health problems, including fatigue, high blood pressure, depression, obesity and an increased risk of a heart attack or stroke.

The good news is that OSA is a treatable

condition. An appointment with The Dental Centre team will enable us to diagnose your OSA in conjunction with a sleep physician and prescribe a solution to suit you.

With a thorough brushing and flossing routine, regular dental check-ups and a healthy diet, you can go a long way towards eliminating dental decay and avoiding the need for fillings.

If you do require fillings however, you can rest assured that the procedure is completely straightforward. We now have a choice of using traditional dental amalgam fillings or new tooth-coloured composite or glass ionomer fillings.

The Dental Centre uses only the most up-to-date digital dental technology available to ensure we provide the very best quality care for our patients. We have invested in an in-house digital Orthopantomograph (OPG) unit to enable us to see a complete panoramic x-ray of your teeth, jaws and surrounding structures.

This digital x-ray machine emits only 10% of the radiation of conventional x-rays and has the ability to show its results immediately. Having such an important diagnostic tool in our clinic means that we can offer a more efficient and convenient service for our patients.

Halitosis, or bad breath, is an embarrassing condition that most adults will suffer from at some stage during their life. Halitosis is often caused by a problem in your mouth, which means a visit to The Dental Centre may well help.
